How is it setup?

Setting up topics in Context Mine requires creating persistent searches using our 'Brand Hierarchy Manager'. Each Topic can be assigned one more query criteria. You can also create more advanced search containing boolean operators like 'AND' ,'OR', 'NOT', etc. For this particular use case, 'Meg Whitman' topic is setup to track keywords 'Meg Whitman', 'whitman2010', 'new California' (campaign slogan). 'Jerry Brown' topic is setup with following keywords: 'Jerry Brown', 'Brown for governor' , 'jerrybrown2010', 'California working again' (campaign slogan).

How is it setup?

For this use case, we setup three different topics: topic for home improvement, contains keywords like home improvement and home remodeling. Topic for Lowe's looks for any occurrence of keyword 'Lowe's'. Home depot topic tracks for exact phrase 'Home Depot' or keyword 'homedepot'.
